Jack Reacher **

I love action movies. I have seen all the ones with Bruce Willis besides all the other ones on that gender and I have enjoyed most of them.
I have never read the Jack Reacher books, actually I never heard of them until the movie come out, either way, I did not like the movie.
The plot was not interesting and the action was not exciting. Tom Cruise did a lot of posing and in my opinion he did not look or acted the part of such a tough guy. When he looked all serious into the camera it was laughable.
I have to admit that the movie was entertaining, I actually laughed at many parts, and even that I don’t think they were trying to be funny they were.
I don’t know how he figure out so fast who was responsible or how he manage to know who was who, either way, it doesn’t matter, he seemed to know everything.
There were not much dialogue in the movie, it reminds me of the spaghetti western with Clint Eastwood, however Eastwood filled the screen with his presence, just by looking at his face you knew what he meant. This was not the case with Cruise.
I could see Henry Cavill in that role; however Tom Cruise was one of the producers. No need to say more.

James bond
Sky Fall
The first 14 minutes of the movie is a car chase followed by a fight on top of a train.
The next 2:47 minutes are psychedelic images of Bond while Sky Fall music plays on.
It was a total of 18 minutes before the movie showed some plot.
At 22 minutes I left. I have better things to do with my time.

Reign over me ****

I am not a fun of Adam Sandler, nothing personal it’s just I am not big in that type of comedies.
I was house sitting is in the middle of nowhere in a house without T.V. or wify, I have a web stick, however it’s very slow and I didn’t get a connection all the time.
My host use to own a video rental store, so I been watching a lot of movies and that it’s what saved my sanity.
I have seen most of the movies; I watch a lot of movies, so I have been watching the ones I have not seen, except the horror ones.
I watched this Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle movie made in 2007: Reign over me.
I was very impress. Don Cheadle was good as always, but Adam Sandler was excellent in such a serious role.  He really pulled it off and I did not know he had it in him.
The movie shows the character of Adam Sandler after his family died on 9/11.
The movie was very nice, the plot, the acting were excellent, I even got teary eyes at the end.
I would recommend it.

Venuto al Mondo *****

Venuto al Mondo = Came into the world, however the English version is call: Born Twice.

After seeing the atrocities that humanity enforce on each other’s how it is possible to put it all behind and go back into the “normal” world? Into an everyday life and live like if nothing had happened?

Venuto al mondo is a love story set in Sarajevo during the Serb’s siege in the early 90’s.
Even that it is a love story it is not mushy, it is raw with very powerful character very well portrait by Penelope Cruz as the main female character Gemma; Emily Hirsch as Diego the war photographer and husband to Gemma; Pietro Castellitto as the son, and Sergio Castellito as the stepfather was great as always.
I am a big fan of Sergio Castellito and in my opinion he is one of the best actor, director, producer, or anything else he does.
I won’t tell you the plot of the movie because I don’t want to spoil it for you. Nevertheless I will tell you that there are many stories intertwine into the plot and none of them overpass the other one, they are all strong and heart felt.
The movie is very powerful with a cast of strong characters that played their part very convincingly.
The movie is based on the book of the same name by Margaret Mazzantini, which happen to be Pietro Castellitto wife. And by the way the boy that plays the role of the son is his son. Technically the whole family was involved in this project.

Anyway, I recommend this picture to everybody. I also recommend that you bring a few tissues, because if you are like me, you will shed a few tears over the powerful and shocking end.

Now, I will go and read the book.

Moonrise kingdom ****

I just saw this movie and I loved it.

With a stellar cast comprise of:
·         Bruce Willis
·         Edward Norton
·         Bill Murray
·         Frances McDormand
·         Harvey Keitel
·         Bob Balaban = narrator
·         Tilda Swinton
·         Jason Schwartzman
·         Larry Pine
·         Wes Anderson = director
·         Jared Gilman = Sam = boy
·         Kara Hayward = Suzy = girl

Moonrise Kingdom is an offbeat movie about two 12 yrs. old children.
The ensemble cast plays eccentric, weird characters, but you could not expect any less from director Wes Anderson.
The movie was hilarious in a very dark kind of humor; it was tragic due to the consequences that brought them to that place and time.
I felt the kid’s pain, the parent’s grief, the sheriff loneliness and empty life, the troop leader’s awkwardness.
Jared Gilman was great as the boy, he play his role with such insight  and trustfulness.
Kara Hayward was also great as the girl lost in a dysfunctional family where nobody was listening to her.
Actually all the personages in the film were out of touch with reality, nevertheless you felt for them.
Great acting by the whole cast and even that the movie is about children this is a movie for adults.
